They could probably come to a mutually beneficial compromise, but that usually takes an agent for the player who knows how to negotiate terms.

Not without a new contract. He's on a big deal, and they don't want to pay him.

I could see Aiyuk wanting that at some point, but have no idea why the 49ers would be interested. He isn't worth a roster spot regardless of contract. Probably not worth signing to the practice squad after he is cut. This isn't even a commentary on his ability.

And he actually produced consistently. It was rare that he was invisible in games.

No way the 49ers bring Ayiuk back. He has burned too many bridges that cannot be put back together.

lol wasn't THAT good. He Had a year where he was a top 15 receiver and that made him believe he was Terrell Owens

People overrate big time here. Happened with both Aiyuk and Deebo after one good year; was laughable with Jimmy, and even I did it with Huff. It happens; fandom, we all fans of this team

no folks like to rewrite history to make themselves feel better.

Aiyuk and Deebo were much more dangerous at WR for us, than any of our past WRs since T.O. Add to the fact they were great run blockers. They also made clutch catches for us. And on top of that, had the speed to take it to the house.

and until proven otherwise, we don't have anyone close yet. Mike Evans is proven, but we have to see how he holds up the rest of the season. Strib looks legit and can be the next impact WR, up there with Aiyuk and Deebo. He just has to prove it on the field.
